AGA Demonstrations At Home

"Everyone should have a Simon in their kitchen"  Mary Berry

With a move to West Somerset I have paused my AGA Demonstrations At Home to concentrate on launching AGA cookery demonstrations from my new home in the Exmoor National Park in 2025.
If you'd like to be added to my mailing list so that I can keep you up-to-date with the details then please send me a message with 'The Old Rectory Demonstrations' as the subject by clicking here:

Confused or daunted by your AGA?

Not sure what to cook where?

Burning everything?

Wouldn't it be great to have one of Simon's AGA demonstrations

in your own home,

and on your own AGA?

Well, now you can!  With one of my AGA Demonstrations At Home, I can show you how to get the very best from your own AGA so that you can start on the right foot or fall in love with it all over again.

Long after you had gone, we continued to rave about how much we loved your demonstration! Thank you!

Lynn P, Buckinghamshire

What a brilliant lesson and demonstration of how to use our AGA.

Roger W, Bristol

Everyone absolutely loved the concept and couldn’t have been more complimentary of the food

Hayley P, Surrey

Thanks for Saturday, we got a lot out of it.  My son made some cookies that looked like they could have been shop bought, perfectly formed!

My AGA Demonstrations At Home bring AGA cooking to life in your own kitchen by demonstrating the techniques you need to know in an easy-to-understand, relaxed and fun way, with delicious results to enjoy afterwards.  It's a great way to have a one-to-one lesson, a family 'briefing' on a new AGA or as a fun event for friends or to raise money for a favourite charity.

Prices start at £175 and there are three formats available:

Format 1:        Operation and use of the AGA, with advice on pre-heating, what to cook where, economical running, cleaning and care, and a review of cookware and AGA accessories you have or may need.  No cooking necessary.  Duration 1½ - 2 hours.  Monday-Saturday, start time between 10:00am and 4:00pm to suit you.

Format 2:        Operation and use of the AGA, with a varied selection of dishes cooked from fresh using my own recipes to illustrate the key techniques you’ll need, with advice on pre-heating, what to cook where, economical running, cleaning and care, and a review of cookware and AGA accessories you have or may need.  After the demonstration you will have at least 6 dishes ready to serve, or to eat later for lunch or supper.  Duration 1½ - 2 hours.  Monday-Saturday, start time between 12:00 Noon and 3:00pm to suit you (assuming my arrival 2½ hours beforehand in order to prepare).

Format 3:        A bespoke demonstration just for you, cooking the things you'd like to see, using my recipes or yours.  This could be themed, or concentrating on particular dishes you're having difficulty with, or as a sociable gathering of friends and family to support your favourite charity.  After the demonstration you will have at least 6 of your chosen dishes ready to share, or to eat later for lunch or supper.  Duration 1½ - 2 hours.  Monday-Saturday, start time between 12:00 Noon and 3:00pm to suit you (assuming my arrival 3 hours beforehand in order to prepare).

If you don't yet have an AGA but would like to know more, why not borrow a friend's AGA and their kitchen for one of my Try-before-you-buy AGA Demonstrations?  You can find out whether an AGA will suit you and what all the fuss is about.
